In Their Shoes DSGBV Training Resource

The RiVeR Project team were delighted to welcome a range of frontline professionals to Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) yesterday for the first in a series of In Their Shoes workshops.

In Their Shoes is an innovative DSGBV (Domestic, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence) training resource, based on “In Her Shoes®”, which has been adapted to an Irish context with the permission of the Washington State Coalition Against Domestic Violence. The resource has been further developed to reflect the realities of modern Irish society.

The workshop provided participants with the opportunity to fully engage in the adapted simulations, while also offering additional training for those wishing to integrate this resource within their DSGBV-focused work.

The official launch of the In Their Shoes training resource will take place at DkIT on 13th October.
